Standard Foil Fencing Tournament - May 7 in Medford

SOFC and the "Fencing in Southern Oregon" program will host on Saturday, May 7, a standard (non-electric) foil fencing tournament.  We expect this to be the final local tournament of the 2010-11 fencing year.

Three events are planned:

-   Youth Beginners, check-in time 9:00 a.m.  This is for fencers age 12 or under who began fencing since September 2010 or have fenced in no more than two SOFC terms.

-   Age 13-and-Under, check-in time 10:30 a.m.   This is for all skill levels.

-   OPEN, check-in time 1:00 p.m.   This is for all ages and skill levels.

The registration form is attached.   You may submit it up to the close of check-in, but please let Steve know if you plan to fence to help with our planning.  (An email is fine.)

Plan to fence on Saturday, May 7!

Regards,
Steve and Ron

The following link shows the regional fencing tournaments that Oregon Division has sanctioned; some of them SOFC and the "Fencing in Southern Oregon" program plan to support during the year.   This usually means providing transportation (beyond carpooling), but this is subject to the number of fencers and other factors - our plans to accompany may change.

Some of the tournaments already are listed on AskFred.  We encourage you to pre-register as soon as practical.  It helps the organizers to plan and encourages other fencers to participate.  We ESPECIALLY encourage you to pre-register soon for our events in Medford!
